ChallengeS from communities
Sumy region:
Romny
Digital Cultural and Creative Platform of the Romny Community
The Romny community has a vibrant cultural scene, including artistic collectives, individual artists, cultural initiatives, and events. However, this living culture mostly exists offline and is scattered across multiple platforms, making it difficult to access information, reach audiences, and fully unlock its potential.

The community’s challenge is to design a concept and prototype of a digital solution that brings culture, arts, events, and community together in one accessible digital space.

The expected outcome is a digital cultural and creative platform featuring an interactive map of cultural venues, an events calendar, and profiles of artists and cultural institutions. The solution should support communication, cultural promotion, community identity, and the growth of the local creative economy.
Sumy region:
Konotop
Digital Application “100 Pearls of the Konotop Community”
The Konotop community has a strong historical and cultural potential, which today remains fragmented and largely offline. Stories, events, symbols, and cultural locations are not integrated into a single digital system, while urban space and media resources are used inconsistently.

The community’s challenge is to design a concept and prototype of a digital solution that collects and presents the cultural “pearls” of the Konotop community using the language of modern technology.

The expected outcome is a digital application combining a catalogue of key cultural assets, an interactive map, multimedia content, and integration with urban space. The solution should shape a modern community image, strengthen local identity, and engage residents, tourists, and the creative community.
Chernihiv region:
Kulykivka
Digital Cultural Heritage Catalogue of the Kulykivka Community
The Kulykivka community has strong but underutilized assets: cultural heritage sites, natural landscapes, sacred places, and local initiatives. Today, these resources are fragmented and not connected into a single system, making it difficult for visitors to navigate the area and limiting the involvement of local businesses in tourism flows.

The community’s challenge is to develop a concept and prototype of a digital solution that brings together cultural, natural, and historical assets into one clear and accessible digital space.

The expected outcome is a digital catalogue-ecosystem featuring an interactive map, ready-made tourist routes, and local business integration. The solution should turn culture into a driver of tourism, local economic development, and a strong community identity.
Kyiv region:
Makariv
Digital History of Makariv
The Makariv community has a rich history that is currently fragmented across archives, personal memories, and isolated materials.

The community’s challenge is to design a concept and prototype of a digital solution that preserves, structures, and makes the community’s history accessible to residents, youth, researchers, and visitors.

The expected outcome is a unified digital space featuring a historical timeline, an interactive map, and digital memory elements, serving educational, cultural, and community development purposes.
